GOALS
This contest was born as a tribute to the Graphic Cartoonists of the world, with the goal of strengthening the peace and brotherhood between people, trying to approach them.
The Foundation "Lolita Rubial" as part of the celebration of the Cartoon Museum - Julio E. Suarez "Peloduro" tenth anniversary, calls all the cartoonists to the
1st International Humour Cartoon contest "Peloduro 2002".

RULES
Theme: "that what the XXth century left us..."
1. Drawings
Only original works, that have not been submitted to other contests or exhibitions.
All techniques are accepted.
Dimensions: A3 - 297 x 420 mm, or A4 - 210 x 297 mm, unmounted.
Drawings must be signed and dated in the front side. In case of digital drawings, they must include the word Original.
On the back side of every drawing it must carry the work entry form. The group of drawings must be sent together with the artists entry form.
2. Shipping
Min 2 and max 3 drawings per artist.
Deadline: last date to be postmarked is March 14th, 2003.

3. Jury
Admission Jury:
Jorge Satut "Satut", Leslie Ricciardi "Leslie", Carlos Millot "Miyo", Antonio Dabezies and Gabriel Mainero.
Contest Jury:
same as above plus Raquel Orzuj "ms. orzuj" (Witty world Foreign Editor) and Tabaré Gómez "Tabaré".
The Jury will also select the works to be exhibited in the 1st International Humour Cartoon Salon Oscar Abín "Gaucher".
4. Prizes
First International prize:
Golden "Peloduro" Medal
U$S 750
Air return ticket to Uruguay
7 days lodging (4 days at Montevideo and 3 days at Minas) and tours (Minas, Colonia del Sacramento, Punta del Este and Piriápolis)
Second International prize:
Silver "Peloduro" Medal
5 days lodging (3 days at Montevideo and 2 days at Minas) and tours (Minas, Colonia del Sacramento, Punta del Este and Piriápolis)
Prizes will be given on the Salon opening day. Winners will know in advance.
Except for the cash, prizes are not redeemable.
5. 1st International Humour Cartoon Salon
Oscar Abin "Gaucher"
The selected works will be exhibited at the Museo del Humor y la Historieta Julio E. Suarez "Peloduro" in the first half of 2003.
Later they will travel to Montevideo, Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Paraguay, and España (Alcalá de Henares and León).
They will be exhibited also at the Museums Virtual Gallery.
A print catalogue with all selected works will be sent on demand, at the shipping cost.
6. Organisation
The contest and the Salon are organised by the Museo del Humor y la Historieta Julio E. Suarez "Peloduro".
Dates and places of exhibition are subject to changes. Drawings wont be returned, and will remain at the Museums archive.
The organiser retains the rights to use all drawings received for promotion in any media, to publish them in newspapers, magazines, books, posters and any other form and to exhibit them in Uruguay or abroad, all without any compensation or fee to the author.
